Pastor David, along with wife Diana have together raised seven children to adulthood, and are now grandparents to eleven grandchildren!
Long time residents of Sidney, they have been active in many capacities of ministry within the church throughout the years. Having grown up under his father’s preaching at Ebenezer, Pastor David himself had resisted the call of God upon his life, until it became evident that he could no longer do so. On November 11, 2006 he finally preached his first sermon from the pulpit. From then forward, the preaching of God’s Word has been to him, and remains to be, both a solemn privilege and great responsibility.
Seeing that every Christian is born again through a simple, childlike faith in Christ, Pastor David believes his main responsibility is to cultivate the spiritual growth of God’s people through the expository preaching and teaching of God’s Word. His desire and commitment is to that end. As the Lord Jesus grows us by feeding us the daily bread of His Word, fellowship with Him deepens as does fellowship in the Church leading us to a fullness of joy!
Should you be led to join us, you won’t find many frills here. We try our best to simply and plainly participate in what the Bible calls us to do… Pray together, preach the Word, sing praises, and worship the one, true and living God!
